Overall Satisfaction with Ginger
Ginger is used by both teachers and students at my school to help expedite the writing process. I work with a population of students with Language Based Learning Differences, which can make writing a challenge. This software enables them to ensure their writing is in good shape more independently. It also allows for more abstract thought and less thought to grammar.
- The ability to improve your writing even if nothing is "wrong".
- Clean and easy to get started.
- Available on most platforms.
- Doesn't have a MacOS platform.
- Can't access Google Docs directly.
- Can be small and hard to read - not very accessible for those with vision impairments.
- Ginger is helpful for many of my students, it takes some of the stress off writing.
- It also allows you to send off important emails with confidence.
- Ginger is a great tool that can help you focus on content as opposed to structure.
- Grammarly
I have used Grammarly as well, and though it does have a native platform for Mac, which Ginger does not, this platform has been better for me personally, as it is less intrusive than Grammarly. Ginger lets you select what you'd like checked and then go from there. I like this for my students as well, as they are forced to think about their work.
