Overall Satisfaction with GitLab

GitLab is a powerful tool that allows us to manage the code of our development and integrate its services with third-party applications. Its cost makes it very attractive, which is why it is a good alternative for medium and small applications. Its ability to integrate with other third-party applications makes it more effective.
  • GitLab web-hook triggers your pipelines in few seconds.
  • GitLab repository - we have put all our repositories into it. Secured and protected repository.
  • GitLab registry - docker registry, NPM registry, maven registry, helm registry.
  • The system becomes slower as you scale.
  • It is difficult to manage code reviews for the first timers.
  • It's really easy to setup and associate with issues.
  • It’s easy to integrate into existing applications.
GitHub is a version control but it does not work well in all software developments. Looking for a complete solution, I have yet to find anything that can compete with GitLab. I like to have everything in one place with one license and find it amazing to plan projects. License costs are very high compared to GitHub but compared to what you could use in all the components separately. Whenever I work on a big project with a team, I use GitLab.
GitLab’s security features are pretty helpful as I have been using GitLab for a very long time and it is extremely easy to get started with even as a beginner. Even if you do not know the exact git command to push an existing local repo to GitLab, it gives you useful tips and sometimes even the complete code suggestions.
GitLab provides location management and version control, as well as catching and tracking bugs on wikis. It is a complete package for building and managing projects of all kinds because projects beyond the source code, like GitHub, are currently being hosted. Additionally, there are a ton of client libraries for different platforms that make it easy to integrate into existing applications.

Yes

Did GitLab live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of GitLab go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy GitLab again?

Yes

I use GitLab to place my project at the branch so that all team members can access the project in the central storage area. If any changes made by any member will be visible to all members, I can easily integrate the project and push the project to the final location.
