Overall Satisfaction with GitLab
Best tool for the Automated CI/CD Development, what generally have to do it, user, manually have to do code deployment in the server or VM. GitLab is one of the best tools for this feature. Also, you can roll back to the older edition if you find any issues in that release. So this is one of the best-needed features for the companies.
- Code Integration/Code Deployment.
- Version History.
- Support of Kubernetive.
- Better UI/UX.
- Pricing is high a bit.
- Needed Less Human effort for CI/CD.
- Easy to use.
- Costly Premium Plans.
Managing Codes is very good in GitLab while Bitbucket doesn't have support for it and GitLab is very easy to use for new people or for getting started while Bitbucket seems a bit complex. GitLab Provides Cloud runners. For free plans, GitLab provides unlimited collaborators while Bitbucket has limited collaborators.
GitLab Security was introduced/implemented early in the software development lifecycle. There is a great security dashboard in the Pro plan compared to Bitbucket. The migration tool is amazing GitLab. Also, you can set the CI/CD Pipelines. There are also many other features like Security Dashboard, vulnerability management, Container, dependency scanners, and reports of that.
With help of Continuous Integration, any team member can merge the code branch and it automatically gets live. This is a very useful feature so you don't need to go to the manual dashboard and check or do manual work for the deployment of it. You can also set the code review automatic validations so it becomes more secure testing.
