Overall Satisfaction with Glassdoor.com

We use [Glassdoor.com] to search for job candidates and also to post open positions we have available. It makes the process more streamlined because we can inform people about our organization, collect reviews that help people understand what we're about, and post jobs that reach a wide variety of candidates. We appreciate people being able to learn about our company before they decide to apply for a job with us.
  • Glassdoor is great at providing candidates with information about our company they wouldn't find elsewhere.
  • Glassdoor's website is organized well and has an easy-to-use interface both for job seekers and posters.
  • Glassdoor has excellent crowdsourcing functionality when it comes to company ratings and salary information.
  • The "jobs you may like" section algorithm could use some work - it often shows jobs that are not relevant to the user.
  • It is not very easy to search company reviews based on certain criteria, like EDI.
  • The mobile app is sometimes buggy and slow on Android phones.
  • Having reviews, salaries, and other company info visible to job seekers
  • Streamlining the job posting process and getting large numbers of applicants
  • Allowing the organization to learn and grow based on the feedback and data collected on the website
  • Positively affects how informed our job candidates are when they apply for a job
  • Positively affects the number of applicants we receive for any given job posting
  • Takes more time than some other job boards to maintain and analyze the data
To be honest, we use both LinkedIn Jobs and [Glassdoor.com] to make sure we get the largest number of quality candidates quickly. LinkedIn Jobs allows us to learn more about the applicants before we ever speak to them, but Glassdoor allows candidates to learn more about us before they ever apply. Both boards have their complementary benefits and downsides, so it's a good idea to combine them if your organization can afford it.

[Glassdoor.com] is well suited for larger, older organizations who have had time to build up a reputation in the market and have lots of employees come and go. This means that job seekers will have a lot more data to peruse when it comes to company reviews, interviews, salaries, etc. simply because there is a larger pool of people to provide such information. If you are a small or new organization, [Glassdoor.com] might not be helpful for candidates trying to learn more about your company.
