Overall Satisfaction with Gong.io

We used Gong.io to record and analyze sales calls. It was auto-added to every sales call (unless client declined recording) and every seller was expected to utilize the software. It was very useful for note taking and referencing post-call in order to keep your focus on the call while you were in it. It was also very useful for sharing snippets of calls with teammates, as you didn't have to do a write-up and could link directly to the call time stamp.
  • AI analyzing of call mechanics.
  • Recording and taking follow-ups.
  • Integrating with Zoom.
  • More client language around why they are being recorded.
  • Educating the industry on their brand so prospects know the brand and use cases.
  • Better platform integration for pausing/restarting the recording.
  • Recording to keep attention on calls at the time.
  • AI analyzing of conversations.
  • Sharing calls within your organization.
  • More attention on prospects.
  • Time saved in recapping and reviewing follow-ups.

Yes

Gong is incredibly well suited to be a tool for sales teams to record, review, and analyze their sales calls. It can also be very beneficial for managers of sales teams to review or assist with sales calls that they weren't able to attend, especially if sellers are requesting assistance or may need feedback on how they are performing. It can be less appropriate for high-level meetings with proprietary information if your company does not have an NDA with all parties on the call, as the act of recording can be a hard topic to bring up and some clients may feel uncomfortable.
