Overall Satisfaction with Google Ads (formerly AdWords)

We are using Google Ads [(formerly AdWords)] as a digital advertising engine. It allows us to create, manage, analyze, and edit advertisements on Google. It is mostly used across the entire organization and across many different teams.
  • Create and manage advertisements on Google
  • Provide keyword and ad planning tools
  • Provide data on search traffic and queries
  • UI is sluggish and buggy at times
  • Optimization/recommendation tool has to be continuously monitored and recommendations have to be dismissed multiple times
  • Google has started limiting search query report tool and hiding low traffic search terms
  • Budget management
  • Bid management and optimization
  • Keyword and traffic research
  • Ease of use
  • Access to Google’s search traffic
  • Valuable keyword and traffic research
  • Ease of use
  • Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)
Google is easier to use and has more features. Google also has much more traffic than Microsoft/Bing, so research and performance is usually better with Google, however this may vary.

Google Ads [(formerly AdWords)] is well suited when researching, creating, managing, editing, or analyze advertisements on Google. It is solely for advertisements on Google, so if you want to manage ads on other platforms, you’ll need to use those respective engines or a management tool (like Google’s SA360).
