Overall Satisfaction with Google Authenticator

It is being used indirectly as a two-step verification service is needed for certain software applications that are in use. I have also used it at a previous company as a way to provide authentication for services like Amazon Web Services and Okta. I use it at home for personal apps as well.
  • Easy to setup and use.
  • QR code scan ability.
  • No issues have occurred.
  • Password-less functionality.
  • Ability to re-order codes.
  • Ability to organize/ add folders.
  • Ease of use.
  • Speed of setting up a key.
  • No issues/ crashes.
  • Increased security.
  • Peace of mind.
  • Being able to use apps that require two-step verification.
Microsoft Authenticator is a nice alternative that you can use in a password-less way. It does this by sending a notification to your phone where you then press the accept button. It does not seem to be supported by as many apps as Google Authenticator though and doesn't work as consistently.

Do you think Google Authenticator delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Google Authenticator's feature set?

No

Did Google Authenticator live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Google Authenticator go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Google Authenticator again?

Yes

Google Authenticator is a simple and easy-to-use app that can be used by various applications to provide two-step verification. It is also more convenient than carrying around a physical key fob. Or it can be used to increase the security of sites you most likely already use like Amazon.
