Overall Satisfaction with Google Forms
We have been using Google Forms to register for different student organizations and also as a means to schedule volunteers for different events. It is used across the whole organization, but certain professors use it more often than others. I have been using this for years and I use it as my primary way to collect information from students and other faculty members.
- It is super simple to use
- It has the ability to add multiple different fields
- I love using the Google Sheets feed to parse my data after the fact.
- It isn't as robust as other tools on the market such as Qualtrics
- The ability to customize is lacking. There could be some improvements
- [The] only way to restrict submission is to require a Google login
- I have been able to speed up my process of data collecting at no cost
- My students can also use this tool without having to add on additional seats or subscriptions
- I have spent a little more time working with the data that could have been sped up with other solutions
Google Forms is cheaper, but it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles as Qualtrics. I selected Google Forms because of the cost, but it also had 80% of the features I needed to make it work for my given situation. I like the collaboration feature and the connection to Google Sheets.
