Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

I regularly use Google Sheets in reporting, planning, and organizing information. It's fast, simple, and easy to use and collaborate on. I honestly don't know why anyone wouldn't use Google Sheets at this point. For example, the staff I work with use Google Sheet for project planning. For a simple high-level overview like this, it's great. I use Google Sheets for other projects such as creating lists for specific supporters, and where supporters are in their engagement with our organization. We use this to monitor progress toward goals in developing volunteer leaders. What's great though is that Google Sheet integrates well with other tools so reporting easily syncs with other systems like Profit.co and EveryAction.
  • collaborative data collection
  • simple reporting
  • easy instructions on formulas
  • pivot tables and report presentation
  • notes on rows... I'd love to be able to have a row show the latest status from another row on a different sheet.
  • We've used it to prepare quick budgets, presentations for funds that have helped raise money
  • It has helped us quickly analyze raw data, collaboratively.
  • it has helped us work more efficiently by making it easier to work from one sheet and not lose track of versions by passing around attached documents
Microsoft Excel might be good for large-scale local work, but Google Sheets is so fast and clean. I have also used other systems like Air Table, and Excel online, but honestly Google Sheets is so ubiquitous and easy to use I always start there first. Other software products I find are too complex and it's difficult to share the sheets with others. I like that Google Sheet offers a way to interact with others without having to create a Gmail account. That makes it easy and fast to compile something and share it.

Google Sheet is well suited for creating fast, collaborative, spreadsheets. Whether working on a budget with others on your team, tracking a task list toward completion, or importing complex tables, Google Sheets is a great option. Also, dropping in data and creating interactive pivot tables and visualizations is easy too. Google Sheets doesn't offer more complex tracking. It isn't a database and there are limits on what visualizations it can do on your data. For more complex reporting visualizations I have linked Google sheets to other products.
