Overall Satisfaction with Google Tasks

We, as an organization, use it as a quick to-do list for reference. Since it's by Google, and we use G-suite, it has made it really easy to keep it updated across people in our organization.
The main function, as the name suggests, is pinning up tasks that need to be completed. It allows you just that. In addition, you can assign it to the person who is supposed to pick it up (within a stipulated period of time mentioned).
  • Google Tasks (paid version) has the functionality to put labels on which can be easily sorted and used.
  • The paid version can enable you to share the tasks with your peers, and maintain it at an organizational level.
  • Google tasks is really quick, real-time and very easy to pick-up.
  • Pricing: It is over-priced, in fact paying for multiple members turns out to be very expensive. There are other Saas providers that offer much reasonable options.
  • Added functionalities like linking between other services like Gmail, etc. As it is owned by google, it'd be wonderful to pin it up as an add-on in other service modules.
  • Layout: The UI is pretty basic, and uninteresting. One has to look for options to work upon. It can be made more User Interactive and engaging.
  • Different functionalities on mobile app, and desktop: The app syncs perfectly well between the two devices, but they offer different functions which doesn't make sense.
  • The real-time updating.
  • The functionality to share lists, or tasks with other members.
  • The option to assign tasks to other users/members in the group.
  • It has mitigated the amount of time spent in communication, and the constant reminders to get the work done.
  • It has bolstered the process of communication, precise tasks in a clean format. That has added to efficient deliveries.
  • The price-point it is available at, is a downside. At the current price, it's more expensive than the CRM suite we are using.
The alternatives available in the market are virtually unlimited. And some offer better functionalities, some with better UI/UX, and many at a better price point.
The reason that made me choose Google Task, or Taskboards was the idea to integrate with my G-suite subscription. But it is something, that hasn't proved to be of much value, as there's no added advantage to owning a Google account.

Do you think Google Tasks delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Google Tasks's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Tasks live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Tasks go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Tasks again?

No

In an organization, where there are multiple people working in a lean methodology. That gives every member the access to assign tasks to other members, on a whim.
No delay, no communication barriers, no deviation!

Also, it can prove to be really resourceful for people who are operating remotely, as the data is updated in real-time. It can even be used in a family group, provided the prices of multiple-member subscription comes down.
