Overall Satisfaction with Google Voice

I use Google Voice for my personal business as well as have recommended and implemented for my small business clients. Google Voice is easy to use, easy to set up and is a great inexpensive way to have a second phone number for business that is tied to your existing number.
  • Easy to use, phone app and desktop website are easy to navigate and get messages and call lists.
  • Setup is super easy and fast.
  • Works beautifully as a second line over top of your existing line.
  • Would love to see the ability to connect more than one Google Voice number to one cell phone.
  • Sometimes number availability is sparse in some zip codes.
  • Excellent second line dedicated to business calls makes it easy for me to screen and receive business calls.
  • Allows me to share a dedicated business number so I'm not handing my personal cell number out to just anyone.
  • Free/low cost option that saves my very small business quite a bit of money.
I found Google Voice much easier to set up a dedicated number than it was on Skype and cheaper. I had previously set up a dedicated number on Skype and although relatively cheap, I found setup complicated and it never did work seamlessly unlike Google Voice which took all of 10 minutes to set up and use on my cell phone.
Although it's an excellent service and you'll very rarely need support, Google's support (unfortunately on all services) is difficult to find/ difficult to get help....and slow. But you'll probably never need it for the average the user.
Google Voice is a great free/low cost option for a second phone number for business when you don't want to share your cell phone everywhere. It works well and receiving calls/texts is easy and straightforward.

Using Google Voice

It's really quite easy to set up and get running within minutes. Easy to use, easy to create recordings and set up various configurations, including call recording and call screening. Checking voicemails and texts is easy and straightforward. Works seamlessly with my cell phone with no issues whatsoever. And a very affordable option for any small business.
