Overall Satisfaction with GoToConnect (formerly Jive)

We use GoToConnect (formerly Jive) to streamline remote work across the entire organization, which includes five different offices in four different timezones and a number of remote staff. We use it for both call management with our clients and video conferencing (internal and external meetings). GoToConnect (formerly Jive) significantly improves our remote work set up during the pandemic, making it easier to take calls and continue with an uninterrupted workflow outside the office.
  • Mobile capabilities – easy to use on the go thanks to the integrated cloud system
  • Protects sensitive personal information – employees don't need to use the personal phone numbers for calls
  • Integrates with other apps and systems across the organization for ease of use (calendaring, etc.)
  • Certain accessibility improvements could be made, e.g. voicemails converted to text
  • The mobile app sometimes crashes for me, although other users in the organization haven't had this issue
  • Sometimes audio or video connection lags, although this is a problem across other platforms as well and may have more to do with the internet than with GoToConnect itself
  • Once we fully implemented the system, fewer individual issues for our tech team to work out
  • Good audio and video quality – seems better and more reliable than other platforms
  • Ease and standardization in communications with clients, which improved clients' trust in our work
We were satisfied with the support we receive from the team at GoToConnect (formerly Jive). As with any new system, some staff members were more hesitant to adopt it and struggled with getting used to the new system. Due to the amount of customization that is possible, the level of detail can feel intimidating at first. There were a few hiccups as we worked out the correct configuration for our needs, but once implemented it has been a great change.
The audio quality on calls has been very impressive. Given the different modes of accessing calls, we were concerned that some of the quality might be "lost in translation" but we have been very satisfied with the overall call quality so far. I believe that most issues with quality are due more to poor connection and not with GoToConnect (formerly Jive) itself.
Certain features of GoToConnect (formerly Jive) are more advanced and not the most [useful] to new users who are less familiar with [the] technology. Overall, however, the user interface is intuitive and syncs well with other systems, which has been helpful in encouraging our staff to fully adopt it. Most staff members pick it up quickly, however, and do not experience issues. As we learned more about the system, it also became easier to onboard new users efficiently.
Yes - GoToConnect (formerly Jive) replaced several other methods for communication that we were using, which did not always integrate well with each other. GoToConnect (formerly Jive) has allowed us to use one central cloud platform for all communication, which has greatly improved the overall organization of client communications and has prevented certain communications from slipping through the cracks.

GoToConnect (formerly Jive) is useful in managing incoming client calls and in streamlining communication across teams in the office. It has helped us standardize our communications with clients (process, wait time, etc.), improving our organization and professionalism. The options for customizing the phone system are impressive and can be tailored to the unique needs of different companies. In terms of video calls with external partners, we do not always use it since many prefer more popular platforms like zoom that they are already comfortable with.
