Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting

We use GoToMeeting both as a bridge tool to bring in presenters to our live broadcasts, as well as for client meetings, particularly pre-production meetings where we need to share and collaborate on set designs and resources that will be used for the broadcast. We also use it for internal communications on a limited basis.
  • Easy to use UI.
  • Widespread deployment in organizations.
  • Limited network restrictions.
  • Audio quality is subpar compared to some competitors.
  • Screensharing is a bit cumbersome.
  • Getting started can be confusing for non-technical users.
  • Allows easy integration with a large number of clients.
  • Opens us up to other options for live broadcast integration.
  • Added another product we need to learn and support.
GoToMeeting is on the lower end of collaboration tools. It does simple communications well, but has a long way to go for good quality audio and video collaboration. It is also missing some features that it's competitors have, which keeps it at the lower end of the scale. If you need a simple rollout that will likely work on your corporate network, then GoToMeeting fits the bill.
I haven't had to contact support for any reason with GoToMeeting, which in retrospect is a good thing. From looking at the support options, it looks fairly simple and easy to get in touch with them if you needed to. Fortunately any issues I've had with the platform I have been able to sort out on my own.

Do you think GoTo Meeting delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with GoTo Meeting's feature set?

No

Did GoTo Meeting live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of GoTo Meeting go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy GoTo Meeting again?

No

GoToMeeting works for simple communication and collaboration meetings. It is easy to deploy on corporate networks and can be joined both on desktop and mobile. Where it falls flat is anything more complex, particularly screen share, and anything with video chats. The quality is subpar compared to some of the other collaboration tools out there.
