Overall Satisfaction with Grammarly

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Over the years we've written long articles for magazines and online websites about pet eye health, and we've used Grammarly to assist our efforts. The program has a simple interface and makes pretty good suggestions along the way. It helps us cut down on "word fluff" and make more concise sentences to get the point across.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Simple to use! That's most important.
Easy to understand user interface that isn't overwhelming or in the way
Gives us good suggestions on implementing different words and/or phrases that make more sense.
We really like the alternate synonym suggestion feature

Cons

Occasionally we notice issues with app, and developers seem a bit slow to fix.
Sometimes the "suggestions" aren't correct (in our opinion)
We've run into issues sometimes with the plagiarism checker being wonky (we don't plagiarize, but it's always good to check to see if anything else it out there that's similar)

Return on Investment

Speeds up time versus manually reading through and catching errors
Provides helpful suggestions on changing words, phrases, and sentences
Has a very simple to understand user interface

Usability

We like the simplicity of Grammarly's user interface, which makes it easy to navigate and interact with its given suggestions. When we have a new person working with Grammarly that has never worked with it before, the training is simple and they catch on pretty fast. There's nothing to complicated with the program.

Alternatives Considered

ProWritingAid

We went with Grammarly over other online alternatives because of Grammarly's simple and easy to understand user interface. We feel like it was well equipped to deliver us the content and suggestions we needed without all of the extra fluff. It saves us time and isn't overbearing like some other programs.

Likelihood to Recommend

Grammarly allows us to check for typical grammatical errors, as well as gives us suggestions on better ways to say phrases or sentences. We use it especially when writing longer articles for online and print publications. For the most part, the program delivers on what it says it will. There are a few issues with the program, but not enough to deter us from using it. We rather enjoy it's simplicity.
