Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

HireVue is used by human resources, both on the graduate/apprentice side as well as the experienced hire side.

I personally use it for graduate/apprentice recruitment, in replacement of telephone interviews. It helps us deal with volumes of candidates, share candidates and get others' opinions and easily rank the top scorers.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Creates an average score across the interview.
Different types of question responses (written, video, multiple choice, etc).
Being able to review lots of candidates in one day and the interviews are already recorded.
Candidates can take the interviews at a time that is most convenient to them.

Cons

Different ways of scoring to be bespoke per organisation (not just 1-5).

Return on Investment

Good customer service - Opportunity to video an employee asking the question is good and makes the candidate feel they are interacting.
Ability to get through more candidates at telephone/HireVue stage.

Likelihood to Recommend

HireVue is well suited to a younger audience who appreciates that companies have large volumes of candidates to review. Experienced hires tend to prefer to have face to face or at least telephone contact.
