Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite
My organization is active on 4 social media platforms, however there wasn't a strong tool in place to schedule and map out our social media content. Also, pulling analytics was difficult because I had to go into each platform for all metrics. Hootsuite helped solve all of those issues by allowing post scheduling and providing performance metrics.
- Planner is very reliable... all posts have deployed correctly and timely.
- Metrics are accurate - I've cross-checked vs. native platform and the variance is within an acceptable range.
- The ability to set up posts across multiple platforms has saved me hours of work!
- The analytics view is limited... I would prefer to have the ability to order the columns.
- Even though I pay for Pro I need to bump up my plan to output to Excel. You know this data is making it's way to Excel one way or the other, right?
- Instagram metrics are limited. You get better insights from Instagram itself, although you need extended time in order to analyze on a daily basis.
- Hootsuite has improved my ability to expedite the upload of content across platforms, saving 15-20 hours a month.
I had a horrible experience working in Social Studio (Radian6) back in 2020. This was the primary reason why I started posting native across multiple platforms. Once Facebook introduced the Creators Studio and Twitter offered the ability to upload media and schedule posts I was able to finally start getting ahead in my content calendar, however it was still a massive time-suck because everything had to be done a la carte. An agency introduced me to Sprout, however, they were very expensive. Eventually we identified Hootsuite and the experience has been positive overall.
