Overall Satisfaction with HotSchedules

Our entire property uses HotSchedules. We use it for front desk, housekeeping, engineering, kitchen staff, restaurant staff, and managers. It makes it easier to look up schedules instantly, rather than walking to a specific department to find out who is working. It is also helpful when staff can make their requests online, instead of having a lot of paper laying around offices. It helps organize too when the requests were put in from the staff so that in the event there are multiple requests off, we can then look to see who put in [a request] first.
  • Different job positions within one department makes it easy to schedule.
  • Contact information for fellow employees and managers are readily available, allowing there to be no excuse for call ins without notification.
  • Putting an employee on different schedules is easy as well, if they are working within two or more departments. Everything is accessible is one place.
  • Having to post after a change is made is frustrating, sometimes we are just looking at something, and don't want to save the changes.

I have had the pleasure of not running into any issues with HotSchedules. I have been using it for nearly 4 years, and have not needed to call support. I have however helped set up a sister property, and the lady I spoke with was more than helpful, attentive, listened to everything that we would need for that property, and got them up and running no time (about 5 days-ish)!
We are a small 27 room hotel, with a restaurant, and it works well for us. Obviously, for larger establishments, it's great too but just goes to show that Hot Schedules can fit any type or size of establishment, and make it [work] for them. Any business that has more than 3 employees could use this tool. The learning curve is almost non-existent, as it is incredibly user-friendly and easy to figure out. You can track labor costs in it as well, which is helpful for those small businesses that need to stay on a tighter budget.
