Overall Satisfaction with HP Asset Manager

HP Asset Manger is being used to track licenses on applications. It is mainly used by the software asset management team to assign billings (cost to employee's departments) and track how many licenses we own. When installed, they did not customize any of the fields, thus the title fields (dashboard) are sometimes confusing. Would like to have a search/query writer that was more helpful.
  • Export Excel function
  • Notifications
  • Display set up
  • Contract to asset relationship
  • Sometimes too much to fill out
  • Help with searching your database
  • Report writer
  • Interface with our computers (network) to determine how many active installs on employees' computers and compare to our license counts.
  • No custom fields were allowed
Cost and functions in the product and how many modules add ons are required.

  • None
  • Could find a way to tie it to the network to determine active installs
  • Reporting interface

I find HP Asset Manager useful but sometimes too much data needs to be entered.
