Overall Satisfaction with HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches

We use HPE Aruba Switches all over our organization. They allow us to use extra switch features such as VLAN and trunking compared to a "dumb" switch that has no management capability. We like that they support SSH and SNMP access so we can monitor them remotely.
  • Simple configuration
  • Easy firmware upgrades
  • Supported by HP for a long time
  • Web interface is a bit weird
  • Some things can't be done in the web interface
  • Fast switching capability
  • Easy to deploy
  • Rack mountable
  • Increased network speeds
  • Allowed separation of voice and data traffic
  • Easy to monitor remotely
The HPE Aruba Switches are definitely easier to setup than Cisco Catalyst Switches. We prefer to have a managed interface, so the HPE Aruba Switches are a better option than most Netgear or D-Link switches. Compared to HPE Networking Switches, the Aruba models typically are cheaper and perform nearly as well.
