Overall Satisfaction with HPE Nimble Storage
Our HPE Nimble SAN is the core storage backend for our virtualization infrastructure. This allows us to leverage VMware cluster capabilities for high availability. We have utilized Nimble for the last 4 years and it is our only storage solution for the entire organization. It provides a self tuning "set it and forget it" storage for our growing enterprise.
- Nimble provides top notch predictive flash caching that "just works". We typically see 95% + cache hits daily.
- World class support... You typically don't' call Nimble support when there are problems, they call you.
- The Nimble hybrid array is a cost effective solution with no compromises.
- Infosight, the cloud management dashboard, is easy to use and provides quick access to useful information.
- Our Nimble has had 100% uptime, 4 years and counting.
- We haven't experienced any cons in 4 years. It's divine.

We were early adopters of Nimble. At the time of our SAN deployment, EMC and NetApp didn't have solutions that matched our needs. Nimble presented itself as a next generation storage platform that wasn't bogged down by legacy technologies. They had a turnkey solution for our needs that provided the best of all worlds (price, performance, reliability, and simplicity). EMC and NetApp couldn't touch the Nimble in all of the same categories.
Using HPE Nimble Storage
110 - Our production environment is 100% virtualized with HPE Nimble as our sole storage provider. Therefore, 100% of our users utilize Nimble Storage on a daily basis. This covers all aspects of our daily operations functions including sales, manufacturing, finance, and executive. These users represent the most critical part of our operation and are the foundation of our organization.
1 - We are a small enterprise, with needs like that of a large enterprise. There is currently one person responsible for the on-going support of the Nimble array. Nimble was selected because of its low administrative overhead and "set it and forget it" simplicity. The array doesn't require a lot of training or on-going maintenance. This light touch approach to storage has enable our small business scale without having to add to the headcount or invest in specialized training.
