Overall Satisfaction with HPE ProLiant DL

HP ProLiant DL is a great, compact solution for virtual environments. It allows us to have our host and servers within the device all in one. It is a very powerful device and also has lots of great features for notifying team members of performance maintenance. A lot to like with the DL series. With the more powerful processor and storage, our users are able to much more easily access network resources and files. Upload times have decreased when adding to network folders dramatically!

  • Reporting on data usage and overall health of the server
  • The DL server will have years of support, so from a security perspective, patches are very important!
  • More ease of use out of box
  • Faster boot up times
  • Shorter upgrade processes
  • Fewer repairs and less time spent replacing parts.
  • More efficient accessibility for our users to network resources.
The ML series is a bit more expensive and also larger, it does pack more power but the DL stands above in terms of performance and cost when comparing the two. The DL also has great storage capacities where the amount of desired bays can be installed and even at a later time.
HPE Support is one of the best. To same day service and prompt phone support, you never feel left out with HPE.
The HPE DL is a very easy device to navigate and utilize. Of course, as all things, it takes some getting used to but afterwards, there are no issues.

PRTG Network Monitor, SolarWinds Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM)
If your IT room is compact or you wish to have a smaller factor server, along with a budgeted device, this is a great option. Although this may not be the most powerful, for most small-mid sized businesses that have 3-4 Virtual Machines, this is a great server to get introduced with.
