Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions
1. Conducted a POC on a project to Migration of VMware workloads to the cloud in order to expand use of cloud resources and to allow more flexibility and security. IBM Cloud had free trials and good support to facilitate this process.
- Flexibility for multiple deployments.
- Disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Customer service.
- Security of data in the cloud.
- Cost.
- The quickness of the migration has speeded up the development timeline.
- The customer service also saves a lot of time.
Since this was a POC, it was nice to see the expansion of options on IBM Cloud and the potential in decreasing on-prem resource use and costs and its limitations. It was evident that there is a robust consideration for disaster recovery and the security of data.
We briefly engaged some IBM consultants in the initial stages in order to discuss other customers' experiences and any limitations or caveats associated with previous projects.

They are both comparable services and we had done some research into both.

Container registry was good for the development of apps and could be used in conjunction with VMware solutions.
