Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage
I am using IBM Cloud Object Storage in my organization for data archiving and backup. The product has been great for addressing our business problem of managing large amounts of data in a cost-effective and secure manner. The scalability of the service has been particularly impressive, as we have been able to easily adjust our storage needs as our business has grown. The user interface is easy to navigate and the integration with other IBM Cloud services has been seamless. We have also been impressed with the level of customer support provided by IBM. One of the key features we use is the data archiving feature, which has been a huge benefit for us as we needed to store large amounts of data that we don't need to access frequently, but still need to keep it available in case of an audit or legal request. The scope of our use case has been primarily for data archiving and backup, but I can see how it could be used for other purposes such as large-scale data analytics. Overall, we are very satisfied with IBM Cloud Object Storage and would highly recommend it to other organizations.

Did not used that feature.
IBM Cloud Object Storage's integration with IBM Aspera allows for high-speed data transfer to and from the storage service over a wide area network (WAN) infrastructure. This can be an effective way to transfer large amounts of data quickly and efficiently. IBM Aspera uses a proprietary transfer protocol that is optimized for high-speed data transfer over long distances, and it can automatically adjust the transfer rate to adapt to changing network conditions. This integration can be particularly useful for organizations that need to transfer large amounts of data to or from IBM Cloud Object Storage, such as media and entertainment companies that need to transfer large video or audio files, or scientific research organizations that need to transfer large datasets.
The flexibility of IBM Cloud Object Storage's storage class tiers can be beneficial for organizations in terms of managing costs based on their data access needs. The different storage classes (Active, Cool, Cold and dynamic) are designed to provide different levels of data access and durability at different price points, which can be useful for organizations that have different types of data with different access patterns. Additionally, IBM Cloud Object Storage also offers "dynamic" storage class which automatically tier the data from active to cool to cold based on the last access time. This dynamic tiering can also help organizations to manage costs by automatically moving data to the appropriate storage class based on usage patterns. Overall, the flexibility of IBM Cloud Object Storage's storage class tiers can be a useful tool for organizations looking to more effectively manage storage costs based on their data access needs.
