Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Media's Video Streaming

The main thing I can think of again, is to let our customers know we are here. The only way we can do that is if they can actually find us easily without having to get a specific link from us. We are limited as to our audience because of this issue.
Because we can always count on the service.
We maintain two 24/7 television channels. We use Ustream to stream the channel to everyone on our web page and through their computers and cell phones. Palomar College in San Diego, has purchased the license from the vendor for the community college system, to stream without commercials 24/7. I want to add an additional channel soon as well. We love the service.

  • Hosting live events for various cities and sporting events we have here on campus, including campus recruiting events.

Yes, absolutely, but the problem the audiences have is it is really hard to find. It used to be we just typed in Ustream.tv and then searched for Chabot TV and there we were, now nothing. They all need a particular link to find us. We need some way, where viewers can type in Chabot TV and just go to the site. Most of our viewers are from outside of our area and they don't know how to find us unless we give them a direct link. That takes us time and we don't have the personnel to answer all our requests. Please help us on helping the audience find us easily.
Yes, the audience that manages to see us have no issues what so ever watching us on a phone, laptop. or tablet or on their smart tv's.
Not really, since most of our viewers don't know how to reach the IBM site without us giving them a direct link. No search available so they can find us themselves.
We want to start using this capability soon also with LIVE broadcasts, that would be great to do as well.
Outreach to the entire world, compared to just the local community. And many forms of media formats.
Easy to use and quick to set up. And it has worked for us so far 100% of the time.

Using IBM Watson Media's Video Streaming

2 - Our Community College Video production center at Palomar College purchased all the packages from you. I really have no idea if all the community colleges use your service. They should! We have 2 channels now.

  • We use it by having the output of our Cablecast server connect via a smart router and and SDI to USB3 adapter via Computer to feed the signal to you. 24/7
  • We would like to have a larger audience if IBM makes our channel(s) easier to find.
It's not to us it is Palomar College that renews for everyone.
