Overall Satisfaction with IBM Datacap

We currently use Datacap to ingest standard formatted documents and free text documents, identify these and label them and extract relevant data. Development is limited to one team, but all incoming mail, email and snail is routed through it.
  • Ingest documents
  • Analyse text
  • Supporting documentation is poor
  • UI is old fashioned
  • Increased productivity.
  • Better adherence to compliance as all documents are read and understood in the same way.
It was cheaper with a better support package offered and no price per page scanned!
Generally they are very good and reactive to our requests. if we find an issue our error they are quick to add a fix to the next release if needs be.

Do you think IBM Datacap delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with IBM Datacap's feature set?

Yes

Did IBM Datacap live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of IBM Datacap go as expected?

No

Would you buy IBM Datacap again?

Yes

It's well suited to extracting data from structured documentation and can do this with relative ease. It's less suited to images or Excel and has difficulty reading these.
