Overall Satisfaction with IBM InfoSphere Information Server

IBM InfoSphere Information Server is being used for data warehouse, as well as data analytics and analysis.
  • Great for data warehouse
  • Gathering an analytics of data is great
  • Metadata
  • Setup is slow and painful
  • The backend database DB2 is dated and it shows
  • Support is very hard to work with
  • Data warehouse has helped the organization a lot
  • Analytics for data has significantly reduced some of the work load
The main reason for going with IBM Infosphere is the data warehouse, this ability by itself is one of the huge reasons to go with IBM InfoSphere Information Server
Information does load quick, but it depends on what's being done, the backend database seems to be the biggest bottleneck
Very usable and user accessible
Data Warehouse is probably best in the industry. Metadata is great also.
