Overall Satisfaction with IBM Maximo

IBM Maximo is used by one of our customers primarily to centrally track and manage work order requests, labor hours, and materials used for a work order. My involvement with Maximo has been to integrate Maximo with external data systems.
  • Incredibly flexible interface
  • Incredibly flexible backend options for data integration.
  • Difficulty with certain nuances such as overriding a default flag for unapproved/approved labor.
  • ROI is difficult to measure since an older version of Maximo was already in place long before my involvement.
  • Mobile access in the latest Maximo version is one benefit that we are expecting to improve efficiency in data collection.
N/A. No other products were evaluated.
For a couple of our clients, Maximo is used primarily for tracking work order requests for services from IT work to work that requires manual services. Although Maximo has some robust financial ledger and time tracking features, I don’t think it is meant to replace a financial ERP or time keeping payroll system.
