Overall Satisfaction with IBM Netezza Data Warehouse Appliances
We use IBM Netezza for querying data sets from our database. It allows users to export results to Excel as an example for further analysis.
- Data export, i.e. to Excel.
- Database views and queries monitor through Netezza monitor app.
- Cannot use functions such as pivot, which is in MS SQL Server
- Objects such as tables do not pop up automatically in the editor, users needs to navigate themselves to know the object names
- It allows us to work together simultaneously in the database to query our custom results.
- It requires users to know the object name as it does not pop up in their text editor. Thus, users take more time in writing queries.
Netezza is sufficient against similar products. It comes down to personal preference, I'd love to have the data objects popping up as I type but some people may not like it.
