Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power servers

  • S922
  • S924
  • Power Virtual Servers
ERP Financials, Content Management, and File and Data Distribution all rely on this system. Our JDE EnterpriseOne System and other in-house developed solutions that aid in the management of our client's assets are now better served by the system. We returned to IBM Power Systems because of their high levels of reliability and security. As one of the original AS400 deployments, we've been running on IBM Power Systems.
  • The system's resources can be simply reassigned with a few mouse clicks
  • The database side is handled flawlessly by the system
  • Our system integrity is safeguarded and maintained by the system's intrinsic built-in security
  • The cost of the system
  • Poorly suited to the needs of a small business

  • All in all, it serves as an intermediate server capable of handling mixed workloads from many operating systems. Fantastic processing power and dependability make it a great choice
Medium-sized businesses with mission-critical operations that span several years and necessitate excellent performance, stability, and data security in multi-cloud settings can benefit greatly from this processor's inclusion in their infrastructure. It's a good fit for virtualization and clustering. All three of these databases are supported. Small businesses should not use it.
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • SAS
When clustering is not an option for a high-availability system. To host a mission-critical database, for example, S924 is the best hardware. It's far more dependable than any other server on the market. Commodity servers, on the other hand, are an excellent solution for applications that can endure downtime because they are reasonably inexpensive.
If you're looking for an on-premise solution with cloud integrations, you may use this product. The high sodbuster makes it unsuitable for requests for small fixes. Simplified management of several servers running IBM I and Aix applications simultaneously. Because of its processing power and virtualization capabilities, lpars can dynamically share resources, which reduces the amount of maintenance required.
In terms of performance, the S914 surpasses all of its predecessors. The new IBM Power 9 S914 system cost less than the preceding systems in terms of money. The footprint of the system in the rack is significantly reduced. Compared to prior versions, the power usage is reduced. With the switch to a colocation approach, we now have to pay extra to have electricity delivered to our servers. In other words, we are using less electricity than we were with the old model.
You can rely on IBM Power Systems for stability, dependability, security, and (peace of) mind. IBM Power Systems is the best platform I've ever worked with in terms of value for money. The Power Platform is an investment that your company and the people who rely on it will never regret.
