I have not used other systems. I was involved in the creation of the RISC 6000 AIX version 3 since 1989. We have seen many companies come over to IBM Power servers after experiencing the capabilities of the AIX operating system. The systems are physically stable, Firmware (Hypervisor) and Operating System. Security is outstanding.
IBM Power servers are mid-range systems. They require training, especially when migrating from the PC environment to larger systems. My experience has been to bring the attendees skills up to manage the IBM Power servers.
