IBM Power System Virtual Server is well suited for SAP HANA, Oracle Database, and ERP systems. IBM Power System Virtual Server also provides better compatibility with Veritas NetBackup to manage all other servers' application data backups. IBM Power Server works well in the banking sector because it is easily managed and runs millions of operations daily without any performance issues. IBM Power Server support is a bit costly so it may not be recommended for small organizations.
The IBM Power System Virtual Server is well-suited to mid-range systems that perform a lot of batch processing and have physical constraints like memory, hard drive capacity, and networking performance. These difficulties can be resolved much more quickly in an IBM Power System Virtual Server environment than they can in a real server environment.
