Overall Satisfaction with IBM Robotic Process Automation
We use IBM [Robotic Process Automation (RPA)] to build bots for solving time-consuming problems/workflows. [IBM] RPA is our chosen tool to build such tools, so we build a bot in IBM RPA Studio for the needs of the customer. So that the bot will take care of this specific workflow the customer wants to have automated. The bot runs scheduled on a Windows VM can [be] executed as [needed].
Pros
- Clean UI
- Beginner-friendly
- Runs safely
Cons
- [It needs a] tool for open tabs in browser - [should be able] to do it by clicking XPath of the specific button.
- It's noticeable that it is a new software - buggy at some points.
- HTTP Request doesn't use encoder from added API for Password/Username.
- The breakpoint should be able to be placed in the line to be debugged.
- For clients, it is a feeling of security when they see that we work with a big company like IBM.
- [It is] hard to get developers because it's so new.
- [It is an] investment in the future, when you start as one of the first companies using IBM RPA, you'll be one of the go-to companies when the client wants IBM RPA.
