Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Discovery

In Our Organization, we use IBM Watson Discovery to extract the latest and relevant business insights from web sources or web pages. We also utilize it to find relevant text or data from any documents by just passing the text. IBM Watson Discovery's Natural Language process help to reduce the organization-wide effort in getting correct and meaningful data.

Pros

  • Helps in reducing the efforts of the users and gives the correct information.
  • Training system on document contents is fast and easy.
  • Gives most relevant business insights from documents or web pages.

Cons

  • Requires lot's of training to start with the system.
  • Document ingestion and converting the document throws errors sometimes, which can be improved.
  • Price of product is bit higher compare to other alternatives.
  • It decreases the manual effort of a team to extract the data or analysis hence increasing productivity.
  • Training in this system requires lots of effort and initially takes time to get a positive impact on this product.
  • Overall this product has a positive impact on ROI as some functionality is really fast and cost-effective.
IBM Watson Discovery for non-technical users is a bit hard to start work. It requires lots of training, which can be improved, and the UI can be made a bit user-friendly for a non-technical user. Cost should be reduced a bit so that it can compete better with other alternative software. Sometimes while using IBM Watson Discovery, it throws an error that is not easy to debug.
IBM Watson Discovery’s natural language processing capabilities reduce the effort and give correct information.NLP Models are really great for getting the right data. Our team mostly uses content mining or text mining features. NLP Service helps our organization to analyze target phrases for more focused results, which overall is a good user experience.

IBM Watson Discovery really worked well in our organization when it comes to getting relevant and fast data from any documents or other compatible sources. Price of IBM Watson Discovery should be bit less. Effort And training require to use the full potential of the product are very high and it takes too long to get hands on on this system which should be improved.
