Overall Satisfaction with Infosec IQ

We are using this for security awareness training for our teachers and students. We are also using the phishing simulator to track our users' phish prone percentage. Students are encouraged to take courses as part of their digital driver's license. Users have given us first-hand information on how the training has helped them at home or with friends and family.
  • Highly customizable training materials
  • Wide variety of training modules for different industries
  • We are able to provide security awareness training to our students
  • The admin UI could use a little work. It is not the most intuitive
  • Some of the branded modules seemed dated compared to their newer materials
  • Training users to spot phishing emails is always a benefit
  • We have more people reporting suspicious emails
  • We try to expand the principles from the digital world into the physical as well
Support has been good thus far. We haven't really had any issues outside of simple "how to..." questions. Support has been good at getting back to us quickly when we have reported issues in the past.

The recent changes to the admin interface have made it better to navigate and get things setup. There are still instances where we need to resend a user training reminder and that portion could be easier to get to, but all things considered the admin interface is not bad. The user interface is pretty straight forward and provides all the training material and recommendations right at login.
Pricing is very competitive and we are billed annually.
I really like that I have a good level of customization with my training modules/materials. It is relatively easy to add custom assessments that offer more than the pre-canned questions, thus allowing you to tailor things to your environment. The training modules do a good job of connecting the individual by creating a narrative/story that keeps them engaged.

Evaluating Infosec IQ and Competitors

KnowBe4 is more mature in certain areas, but less flexible in others. For example, we left KnowBe4 because we needed the ability to have better customization options. However, KnowBe4's modules are slightly more polished and have a higher production value. Overall, you need to find the solution that works best for your company, and for us this meant moving to Inforsec IQ.
