Overall Satisfaction with Infosec Skills

The skills that I acquired during my boot camp session with Infosec [Skills] are ones that I use so frequently [that] it is hard to envision a time prior when I did not use them. Whether they are in a more planning sense where I am getting things ready for a deployment, or in actual practice, they are intertwined with many of the things that I do.
  • Classroom-like environment
  • Learning pace
  • Ability to network with other people in the field
  • Test prep materials
  • a form of what MS had as a second shot opportunity
  • a list of other courses that may be of interest

Do you think Infosec Skills delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Infosec Skills's feature set?

Yes

Did Infosec Skills live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Infosec Skills go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Infosec Skills again?

Yes

  • Positive impact on career direction
  • Positive impact on acquiring a new set of skills
  • Positive impact on networking with others in the field
  • Negative impact in terms of test preparation
  • Negative impact on getting ahold of certification exam practice questions
I selected Infosec Skills because they are commonplace in the industry. They offer a good amount of courses, material for the cost, and courses using Infosec [Skills] offer the ability to get certified through them. I think that, overall, Infosec [Skills] does offer an excellent product and I am satisfied with the training materials and education that I received.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to as of yet get to a point where I can fully leverage content specific to cybersecurity within my organization due to the way that my organization is structured. I am able to implement and use some of the different skills, but it is in a limited capacity and degree that is not to the level that I wish that I was able [to].
The answer to this is, unfortunately, not. I do hope that the ability to do this will be present in the future, but as of right now, the ability to do this within my organization is not feasible.
Because of the way and manner that Infosec [Skills] has structured their product and how they deliver it. A lot of the different skills that they teach are universal, which is to say that you can implement them in different scenarios. They are typically not limited by vendor or software platforms or formats, [so] this is a huge plus to Infosec [Skills].
Infosec [Skills] does offer a wide range of services that help me. The skills I learned in the CCFE/CCFA course have been invaluable and the environment that welcomes discussion on different aspects of the materials that are being covered in class is very insightful. Also, the ability to connect to other people in the field of which you are looking to get into or [are] already in is always a plus. I think that the ability to get into a shorter-length class that really focuses [on] the main tenants of a particular course is helpful as a refresher, or even as a prep for the actual test.
