Overall Satisfaction with Juniper EX Series Ethernet Switches

We use Juniper for all of our layer 2 and 3 switching. On our core and edge. It serves fast compute nodes as well as end-user equipment. We just did a 80-switch refresh for all of the edges and went with the 3400 series and we love them.
  • Rollback and check config prior to commitment.
  • Command hierarchy.
  • GUI is slow.
  • Limited web UI configuration ability.
  • Great ROI. They cost about 3/5ths of Cisco.
  • The rollback feature saves you time which equals money.
The rollback, commit and confirm are the biggest players in the game. Juniper is the only one who has those features, so I believe they have a leg up in the game. The CLI is one of the easiest to work with.
The best in the business but not perfect. The rollback and commit features are the best-seller.

Do you think Juniper EX Series Switches delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Juniper EX Series Switches's feature set?

Yes

Did Juniper EX Series Switches live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Juniper EX Series Switches go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Juniper EX Series Switches again?

Yes

Juniper switches are the best I have used thus far. I have used HPE, Cisco, and Dell N series before Juniper. The rollback feature for these is awesome. It really enhances your ability to make changes and have it auto rollback in case of an error. This command feature is limited to Juniper and is probably the best feature and selling-point for them.
