Overall Satisfaction with Motive

We use Motive for GPS, driver logs, and monitoring driver behaviors.
  • Noting hours of service violations.
  • Alerts for speeding and hard breaks.
  • GPS locations for equipment.
  • More efficiency in requesting dash cam videos.
  • Alerts if a driver exceeds their hours of service.
  • Not allowing a driver to sign a log until the shipping information is entered on their log.
  • Less liability claims, due to dash cam footage.
  • Hours of service compliance.
  • Driver coaching for hard brakes, speeding, etc.
The dash cam seems to have trouble uploading when there is a collision.
Using the reports for hard brakes and speeding, we can coach drivers to improve driver habits to become safer. Having everything in one place makes it easier.
[In my experience] getting customer service on the phone is difficult.
I liked the reports and available filters on BigRoad better, BigRoad was harder to teach the drivers.

The dash cameras get great video if installed properly. Some dash cams do fail to upload videos, in this instance, the camera needs to be unplugged so the video is overwritten.
