Overall Satisfaction with Khoros Communities (Formerly Spredfast + Lithium)
We use Khoros platform across the whole organization: it hosts our community of customers, partners, prospects, and employees. The main goal is to provide a self-service option 24/7 and knowledge sharing, as well as innovating together with users through ideation features.
Pros
- Customization possibilities: Khoros Communities platform is very customizable, in terms of UI, features, permissions, and other areas.
- Search capabilities: the best search I've ever experienced, with auto-suggestions, many filtering options.
- Features: Khoros Communities is a feature-rich platform that has everything a demanding Community Manager may need. Various forum types, outstanding gamification options, detailed community analytics.
- Availability and stability of the platform is 100%.
Cons
- Labels: there are many areas for improvement there, from having an overview page of all labels in the community, to the admin panel for label administration.
- User profile: user names are limited by the number of characters (just 15) and the profile pages could be improved.
- More users contributing to the community
- Higher traffic and number of questions asked

Khoros Professional Services and Support are one of a kind. I wish every company offered such a customer experience. Our community migration project was handled in a very professional and timely manner, everything was launched on time. Support tickets, no matter of what priority, are also handled quickly. The collaboration with any Khoros team is outstanding.
We heavily use the Community Analytics part, but also Metric reports in the administration panel and Khoros Care analytics. This helps us adjust community content, manage and moderate forums and make sure questions are answered and product ideas are heard. We also heavily use the options to edit and move posts between forums which helps us keep the content ordered and easily findable.

In our case, the Product Ideas forums are the busiest ones. We receive 160-200 ideas every month, which helps us improve the product, but also learn more about our customer needs so we can shape our roadmap accordingly. Customers eagerly engage in topics where they can provide feedback and they also eagerly submit product ideas, vote on existing ones, and wait for status changes and comments from the Product Management team.
Khoros Communities gamification is very reached, it has everything one needs. Badges, ranks, various leaderboards, bonus points, contest forums. We still miss a Super User program (currently working on one).
Our users were dreaming of ranks for years, but the former platform had quite poor gamification features, missing ranks, and not customizable. With Khoros Communities, we're creating our own badges, limited-edition badges for particular events, different user ranks for employees and customers, and this boosts our user engagement, making some of them really fight for more!

Khoros Communities is feature reach, beats other platforms in those terms. They provide support in all regions, with outstanding responsiveness. Khoros has also a very active community, where you can find solutions to most of your questions. They also organize quarterly roadmap webinars, which helps a lot to plan for the Community team. The platform is highly customizable, which is an exception. Granular permissions let us set roles as we need.
