Overall Satisfaction with Khoros Marketing

My company uses Khoros across several continents to share and schedule organic social content and pull analytics. Khoros helps provide visibility to what is being scheduled across each channel and enables us to easily copy and reshare content. We utilize approval flows and geotargeting to ensure accurate content is presented in the best way to the specific audience. We also utilize the Inbox for inbound inquiries and route these comments to the appropriate team member for response. All in all, Khoros helps us streamline our social media management across many continents. The support team at Khoros (on the technical side and the accounting side) is great to work with and always available.

Pros

  • Training and communities for best practices.

Cons

  • Probably a limitation of the API, but better Instagram scheduling.
  • Pinterest scheduling is problematic due to limitations with the hyperlink.
  • Improved management of organic campaigns.
  • Approvals and workflows.
  • Ability to quickly address comments and history with specific audience members.
A few years ago we engaged with the Strategic Services team to reorganize our structure within the tool to better match how we manage the social media schedule. They were very helpful, easy to work with, and kept us on track. Three-four years later and the updated structure is still working for us today!
Our team has utilized the approval flows to ensure content is on brand. We also use the Inbox to monitor for potentially problematic comments and inbound messages so that we can address them quickly and easily.
I am giving this rating because Khoros works for our organization. We have not needed to scale it lately but we know the capability is there. The Khoros account team is good about checking in with us to make sure the tool meets our needs.

Khoros Marketing is very well suited for organic social media, especially across a large organization with multiple workflows. The tool is not as appropriate for paid socials due to features that are better within the native platforms. The same applies to analytics. The use of the tool for standardization on organic social media metrics is helpful, but paid analytics are best pulled from the native platforms.
