Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

It is fully implemented company-wide. We are in all 50 states. I have 700 users that we provide security training, tips, quizzes to each month.
  • Training
  • Tips
  • Phishing Campaigns
  • Centrally managed
  • Having to go back and forth when researching users
  • email aliases doesnt work well for some reason
  • Time-saving. It saves me from having to search for content out on the internet to present to my users
  • Its a tailored made system.
  • Cost for SMB type markets is there, whereas its not as prevalent within other systems
I have reviewed MetaCompliance based out of the UK and where they are short is content based out of the US like HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA. They have some templates that you can cross over to HIPAA since GLBA has content that you can reword and use for HIPAA, but the point is to make it as seamless as possible when trying to send out training to your users.

Yes

Did implementation of KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training go as expected?

No

Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?

Yes

It allowed me to be able to focus on certain topics that come up that we can address in the training to our users. We are still fighting to make users understand the areas that you don't click or accept via email. That's been the biggest challenge so far.
I try to make it as seamless as possible to the user and how it presents itself to the user. The goal is to provide proper awareness training to the user without having a big impact on the user's time. Our users are out there that make our revenue, so the last thing I want to do is hold them up any longer than necessary to ensure they are being properly trained, but also not taking up a lot of their time and resources.
We look to the geographical location of our users nationwide. Since we cover all 50 states, we have to run reports for all those users based on groups/location, and we have over 200 users that service extreme remote areas and so it's a challenge sometimes to get them to do training. But fortunately, our CEO supports our case and is always there to support us to ensure all users must go through the training.
It takes the approach that it can be used in all markets, no matter the size. It has great content, you can customize how you would like to present training videos out to your users. It's easy to use Phishing campaigns make it easy to deploy to users and ensure that you are training your users to be cautious of those potential malware attempts to gain access to your corporation's internal systems.

Evaluating KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training and Competitors

Yes - Metacompliance. It wasnt fully implemented, and after going through it, it didnt have enough content around HIPAA/HITECH and GLBA to address those security concerns I would have from a compliance perspective. Its based out of the U.K. and they have a nice product, but just not enough to address our concerns. It was mostly geared towards EU regulations based on country.

  • Prior Experience with the Product
Price is key with us. We have a limited budget for each of the areas of concern that we drew up to address each area of a regulation and also to make sure it was content that the user would enjoy and would go through willingly without a fight to put it mildly.
The one thing I believe should be addressed if I had to pick one thing that KnowBe4 doesnt do a good job of, is how it breaks down their levels of their product line. Like Silver, Gold and Platinum. I understand that platinum is everything. But we have the next tier down and its still very limited to what we obtain every year that they add. Its better to go with platinum as it is the big boy selection, but not a lot of companies can afford it. If I were in their Marketing area, I would have a product that is geared more towards the SMB market. We cant afford the same level of product per se like a McKesson, or GE can afford. And yet I feel that we get a bit penalized for not being able to access the platinum version, whereas they should offer more at our level since we pay what I consider a lot of money for the level we have. Just my perspective on what I would change at KnowBe4 if it were up to me.
