Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF

Power PDF is useful to break up and combine documents. The bookmark feature and the ability to print a table of contents is invaluable when creating a250 page document. Footers, watermarks, and Bates numbering are also useful to designate certain portions or individual documents. Although we do not often use the forms creator, it has been helpful extracting data.
  • Combining multiple documents and downsizing same to email.
  • Bookmarking
  • Creation of table of contents
  • The ribbon could be improved so functions are more user friendly
  • Better explanations for forms.
  • Conversion to Word is not good...too many text blocks, next section, and unreliable formatting.
  • Power PDF is equivalent to Adobe Acrobat and has saved us money on its pricing.
The program takes some getting used to if you are an Acrobat user. The grouping is not the same as you will find in Acrobat, but it is fairly easy to get around in. Users have found that they cannot have very many open windows or the program crashes. For the price, it gets the job done and the features are about as good as Acrobat Pro.
Power PDF was compared to Acrobat, multiple "free" PDF programs, Fusion, and Foxit. The closest in comparison was Acrobat and Power PDF was chosen based upon function and cost.
Have not contacted support. However the questionnaire requires an answer or you can't move forward.

The combining of documents, bookmarking, and creation of a TOC as well as footers, headers and Bates numbering have been invaluable. Redaction is very handy, but not reliable. It does a fair job downsizing file size and integrating with other programs.
Power PDF is great for combining data and creating a table and bookmarks. It makes discovery production very simple, especially with the ability to Bates number and place "confidential" watermarks or footers/headers. Flattening does not always lock in redactions, nor does the click in the ribbon to lock them own always lock them. Conversion to Word is not good. Using the index feature takes too much time to figure it out.
