Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

Used across the company in different departments: Sales, Marketing, Accounts Payable, HR.
Used especially to add notes, sign and create PDF files.
Some users are using it to convert, PDFs to Word documents, extract or insert pages and also to combine PDF files.
One department is using it to create PDF forms.
  • Easy to understand and intuitive interface.
  • Use it as a PDF reader and replace other software.
  • Add notes to documents.
  • Sign the documents.
  • Slow technical support.
  • Kofax do not provide a change to upgrade to a newer version if you do not pay an upgrade fee.
  • No bulky updates, that means more uptime.
  • Time saving solution for manipulate the PDFs.
Saved money as it is not expensive as other solutions.
Can be purchased for Enterprise, buying 5 licenses or more can save some money for the company.
Easy to understand, used to:
1. Create dynamic forms.
2. Sign documents.
3. Add necessary notes to the PDF.
4. Extract/Add pages.
5. Convert Word to PDF and vice versa.
6. Create PDF files from different formats.
We were using Adobe before but they changed the Licensing mode to a subscription basis. This involves more money and more budget to preview for this.
More, Adobe updates are breaking the installations and the product should be repaired to get it back on track.
Foxit is more complicated and not suitable for day to day users.
Kofax support lacks on providing solutions.
Tech support is not very responsible and you can wait on a reply for days.
In the same order the only solution provided was to format the machine.
We agreed that Kofax will provide us an upgrade license and that worked for us.
In summary, the support still has to improve.
