Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

Our intention was to use it for signatures, combining and editing PDF's. We were coming off of the Adobe features - the system has proven to be a bit difficult to learn and to actively implement in our operations.
  • Opens PDF files quickly.
  • Icons are not clear.
  • Merging files - Add a simple drag and drop option.
  • Editing the PDF - was difficult to navigate to the option and then the icons once inside were difficult to navigate.
  • How to send a file for signature? --- how to add a signature even if my own.
  • Cost savings.
  • But the low cost came at a price of less usage because the tech is not simple to use.
The system is NOT easy to use - maybe it's a bias from coming off of Adobe - but the Icons are not clear, I'm constantly guessing as to where to click and what to do.
We went with Kofax because of the price - but Adobe was our top choice for overall usability and functionality. After a year of the product I think it was a mistake.
Never reached out to support - which again - it's a PDF editing software - why do I even need to? should be simple enough to navigate through.

PDF edit.
PDF page layouts - shifting pages around as needed to reorder.
Signing a PDF.
I'm experienced user with technology. When i sit down with the product I have to really focus and struggle to try and find the options I need the most - Edit / Signature / Merge / rearrange pages in a PDF. --- I think the power is there but the usability is just very poor.
