Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
I use it for fairly simple creation and editing of PDF documents related to my university teaching. I use to clean up scans of various texts, to compile documents from numerous files, and also for some admin-related document processing.
- Easily combining PDFs into one file.
- Editing out sections unneeded sections of text.
- Adding notes and headers to clarify documents for students.
- Depending on source document, I've found the text editing capacity poorer than Acrobat, which I used previously. Even with OCR scanning, Power PDF sometimes doesn't register blocks of text, and thus I can't edit them.
- I need a PDF editor, and Power PDF does much the same thing as Acrobat for much less money.
Yes, about as easy as Acrobat, except for editing text.
I choose Power PDF solely on the basis of price.
