Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
The product is used by all our project managers. It is used primarily for PDF function. Editing and security. We also use it to produce attachments through Google Maps (we edit the maps through Kofax) for our projects. We can also use the software in some cases to compress the files to make them easier to send to the client.
- Time savings.
- Filling a need for editing.
It is fairly easy to use if you use it on a constant basis. It takes a bit of getting use to especially with the different functions. Combining PDF is different then the standard and can be a bit confusing in which one to use.
Kofax has more functions. Unfortunately, I have found that some websites will only accept Adobe to access their PDF files and they will not open with Kofax. Another issue is printing. Some printers will only accept opening up the document in Adobe to actually print. When we open it up in Kofax it refused to print.
Never needed to use it.

The features that are most useful in Kofax is the editing file software. The fillable feature which allows you to create a fillable product that you can add to a website. Also, combining PDF pages is also very useful.
Kofax works great if you have a pdf and need to edit a specific area on the report. You can go in and change the wording or complete sentences in the same font and size. The fillable function is also very handy to be able to produce documents and forms that the clients can fill out online from their computers and print.
