Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
The product is used by all our project managers. It is used primarily for PDF function. Editing and security. We also use it to produce attachments through Google Maps (we edit the maps through Kofax) for our projects. We can also use the software in some cases to compress the files to make them easier to send to the client.
- Combining PDF.
- Editing a PDF.
- Adding additional information to a PDF.
- Editing display can be more user friendly.
- Many websites require another PDF software to access their fillable PDF - won't work with Kofax.
- Give different compression option - sometimes it doesn't do enough.
- Time savings.
- Convenience.
- Filling a need for editing.
It is fairly easy to use if you use it on a constant basis. It takes a bit of getting use to especially with the different functions. Combining PDF is different then the standard and can be a bit confusing in which one to use.
Kofax has more functions. Unfortunately, I have found that some websites will only accept Adobe to access their PDF files and they will not open with Kofax. Another issue is printing. Some printers will only accept opening up the document in Adobe to actually print. When we open it up in Kofax it refused to print.
