Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

I used Nuance/Kofax for many years and recently switched companies. The current company was/is using another program as their PDF program. I tried it for over a week and then purchased Kofax. (I am in the process of converting over other employees to Kofax, as well.) It is easy to use and solves many problems for me. The most beneficial part is the amount of time that I save. I convert and combined many documents daily. Using Kofax saves me hours a month compared to the other program.
  • You can combine, assemble, and convert documents quickly.
  • Makes it easy to sign and verify documents.
  • Making documents searchable is extremely helpful. It works on even some of the harder to read documents.
  • When it does convert to Word sometimes it puts text in text boxes making it hard to manage the document.
  • The help function could be improved.
  • Time savings.
  • Reduced frustrations.
  • Savings on paper.
Power PDF is extremely user-friendly and easy to use. There are many features that I am sure I am even unaware of, but all of the basics are there. As I mentioned in a previous comment, the amount of time is saved compared to a similar product, is astronomical. I also benefit from not having to print and much paper to sign documents. I am able to receive a document, review it, sign it, and sent it back without having to print anything.
Hands down one of the best PDF programs out there. I selected Kofax because I have used it in the past and remembered how easy it was to use. I also like the drag and drop features to combined documents, the ability to sign and stamp a document, and the ability to convert documents.
The program does everything I need it to do. However, the help section does not always have what I need and it is hard to search for items.

It is very well suited in an office environment. When you have a lot of documents to scan and put together Kofax makes it easy. It is one program that I use almost daily.

Using Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

4 - We use Kofax PDF in several different departments including administration, events and activities, and accounting. We use it for approving and signing documents, creating PDFs to upload to the website, creating forms, making documents searchable, combining documents, and much more. It is also nice when we are able to put comments on documents that need to be reviewed.
1 - We have very few issues with Kofax PDF. Generally, once we get the person set up and show them how to use it they are good to go. Every once in a while we will go over a new feature that someone found and teach the others how to use it.
  • Approving Documents
  • Signing Documents
  • Combining Documents
  • Editing Documents
  • Making documents secure
I have used Kofax since it was Nuance. Very rarely do I have an issue or it does not work as expected. For any new employees that come on board, I offer Kofax to them as the first PDF option, if they need that function.
