Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

It is used to generate all PDF documents, edit documents, complete PDF documents through it super editing capability. It is also very easy to use with well laid out menu and dropdown system. The latest version with tabs is very convenient, one does not need to hunt for multiple windows, but if so desired that feature, multiple windows, is there and available.

  • Great capability to reduce PDF file sizes generated by other PDF programs.
  • Nice layout.
  • Batch processing - for editing or inserting text - non existent at the moment.
  • More easy flow during the editing or inserting of text, sometimes, one has to save the file before continuing to add text.
  • Availability of plug-ins, can significantly enhance the product.
  • Easy to use, efficient and relatively low cost.
  • Does almost everything of what needs to be done.
  • Efficiency benefits outweigh the cost of the product.
I agree, Kofax Power PDF is easy to use, has good features, does everything I need to do, except as mentioned in previous questions and responses, batch processing. I use the product daily and have the product installed on all my computers. Spend less time figuring out how to deal with PDF files.
Power PDF stacks up very well, has all the functionality of Acrobat which many consider the benchmark of PDF file processing, the one that has some interesting features is PDFfiller, in fact I use both because there are some features which are not available in Kofax such as form filling radio buttons, etc.
I have not used support very often, I tend to solve most of the issues myself, or else I go and search online for solutions and generally with every product I find that more useful and helpful rather than calling a support help line. So for this one I have limited experience.

Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance), Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), GoodSync
PDF file editing, form filling when in text format, adding signatures to document, adding graphics and line art, adding links combining multiple documents, distance, area and perimeter measurement feature with the ability to enter the scaling factor, file compression and flattening, adding blank pages to a PDF document to then add cut and paste from other documents.
Great for generating, editing PDF files, great layout, can do a very good job of compressing files, very efficient from file size viewpoint.

Ability to edit multiple files in batch, using either a text file of a spreadsheet to generate the data to be added with the file name and a location and the process is done with the push of a button. This feature was available in Compose, a plugin for Adobe, but that company is not in business any more.
