Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF)

[Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF) is used] to read, comment on .pdfs as well as converting to and from MS office apps. Also used to digitally sign and secure documents. Adobe Acrobat is used in places in the org. (for example Marketing).

  • Easy to digitally sign and secure documents
  • Easy to add and delete pages from other .pdf's
  • Changing font and size when adding comments

  • Save me time becaue easier to use than Acrobat
  • Has more features and capability than Foxit and other competitors
Because it has a lot of capabilities the learning curve is fairly steep. As you use it more and more, it become second nature to use. Glad to see that with each rev. attention is paid to the user interface.
Has the most capabilities of any similar app. and is a better value. Easier to use than Acrobat.
I don't know as I've never had a problem that I could figure out on my own.

Very satisfied with the product. With the exception of limited fonts, there's nothing the app can't do that I need it to do.

Evaluating Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF) and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Prior Experience with the Product
Ease of use and user interface. We don't have time for steep learning curves. We need to be able to use a feature rich app out of the box.
I give Power.pdf my highest ranking. It's stable (never crashes), it does what I need it to, and it's reasonably priced. It makes my mr eproductive because I don't waste time figuring out how to execute a function.

Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF) Implementation

No, it was easy.
Change management was minimal - We did not do a large enough implementation for this to be an issue.

  • Installing and getting the product registered.

  • Document assembly
  • Signing docs
  • Optimizing (flattening) docs
  • Converting to MS Office docs
  • Font management - you can't change font or font size when commenting
There's a lot of features so I understand it's hard to make them intuitive and accessible. Just keep striving to improve the UI.
