Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

I, and we, use [Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF)] to review documents in relation to the legal services we offer. It is definitely equal to, if not better than, Adobe. Kofax [Power PDF] makes it very easy to review and edit PDF documents. Our firm has switched over to Kofax [Power PDF] from Adobe, and couldn't be happier.
  • Edits PDFs
  • Viewing multiple files in one window (tabs)
  • Ease of saving edits (an issue I had with adobe)
  • Converting .doc to PDF
  • Nothing comes to mind yet
  • Cost savings
  • Time savings
The ease of converting and editing documents has been particularly easy. This is what I use it for on a daily basis.
Exceeds expectations when compared to Adobe.
General, I have not used support yet.

Converting documents to PDF, editing PDF
I regularly use Kofax [Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF)] to edit legal documents, additionally all filed must be PDF to file so the conversion feature is used often.

Using Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

3 - Our firm uses Kofax for a variety of different application. First, all court filings must be in flattened .pdf format. We use Kofax to convert documents of all formats to .pdf format in preparation of filing. Second, many forms we use are fillable .pdf format. In these cases, we utilize the print to pdf function to "flatten" them to an acceptable format that the court requires. Finally, we edit pdf's to include varies identification information that is required.
  • Editing PDFs
  • Flattening PDFs
  • Combining PDFs
  • Convert to text to edit text
  • Combining PDF
  • *we wish we had chosen Pro for the redacting function
  • We may opt to get the Pro version in the future to use the redacting function
The cost benefit versus Adobe is hands down the best benefit. It has the same features (if not more) at a fraction of the cost of Adobe or other applications.
