A MUST for Anyone Who Ever Needs to Share Log In Credentials

Overall Satisfaction with LastPass for Business

Beyond the basic keeping track of passwords, LastPass has been invaluable in being able to share passwords with others without having to disclose the actual password. Prior to using LastPass for Business, I would regularly need to give contractors the login information for various accounts needed for the work being done, they would have to keep track of which login credentials were shared, keep track exactly who it was shared with, and finally, once the project was completed, I would need to change the login credentials and make sure anyone else still using those credentials were updated as well. As you can tell, it was a huge headache, one that has been completely alleviated with LastPass for business.

When evaluating other password managers LastPass was the easiest to use and could easily do everything required by the organization. I also found that many contractors already were familiar with LastPass making it easy to direct them on how to receive shared credentials. The user interface was easier to navigate and LastPass was just an all-around better option.
Scalability is one of the main appeals of LastPass for Business. Being able to manage and organize credentials, share credentials to relevant departments, and ease of sharing/revoking access is what has made LastPass for Business an essential software. One consideration I haven't mentioned is that if someone is new to LastPass, they do not need to have a paid LastPass account to receive shared credentials nor do they need to have an account under ours. It allows for autonomy without losing efficacy or security.

It is a great software and we rely on it, but a consistent issue that we've run into over the years is that it can be challenging for someone to accept a shared password. While their support is very helpful in solving this issue, conveying it to those who are being granted access can lead to confusion and frustration. Essentially what happens is that a shared password doesn't get accepted (sometimes it doesn't even appear as a pending shared password) if on the browser version. (or there have been times it didn't work in the app version but did in the browser version). This has almost been a dealbreaker at times due to the frustration of sharing the needed credentials, but overall, the other features have outweighed this issue.

LastPass for Business is well suited for anyone who has the need to share login credentials. It is invaluable for anyone who works with contractors or temporary employees who need access to applications but do not require their own account or login. With the need for so many different accounts for business operations, using LastPass is especially helpful in that you can not only securely and privately share login credentials, but you can also organize commonly shared bundles of passwords. For example, I have 3 folders for 3 different levels of access. Each folder has various passwords needed for that tier of access.
